Poké Finder

The Poké Finder allows you to take pictures of Pokémon at certain spots, called photo spots. You can take six pictures per use, after which you can choose one picture to be evaluated and gain Thumbs-Up on. The pictures can be saved to the SD card.
The Poké Finder is also the only feature that utilizes the 3D effect of the Nintendo 3DS screen.
Versions
Via an Instagram-esque mini game, the pictures you take gain Thumbs-Up from other imaginary trainers. After you've gained a certain amount of Thumbs-Ups, the Poké Finder upgrades to a new version which unlocks new features. The following versions are available:
- Ver. 1: The version available from the start
- Ver. 2: Unlocks after gaining 1,500 Thumbs-Up and provides the ability to zoom
- Ver. 3: Unlocks after gaining 10,000 Thumbs-Up and provides the ability to zoom further
- Ver. 4: Unlocks after gaining 100,000 Thumbs-Up and provides the ability to zoom even further
- Ver. 5: Unlocks after gaining 1,500,000 Thumbs-Up and provides a Pokémon-calling button, to catch the attention of the Pokémon you're photographing

Tips and Tricks
- You will get more Thumbs-Up if the Pokémon is in the middle of the picture
- If you press Ⓛ while using the Poké Finder, a rule of thirds grid shows up, making it easier to get the right composition for a good picture
